Abstract (EN)

In this study, the jet flow structuras impinged on a heated cylinder has been investigated experimentally and computationally using. FLUENT 6.3.26 is used. One of the main objective of the work was to study the flow characteristics around a heated and horizontaly laid circular cylinder with a diameter 30 mm in the case of dimensionless lenghts H/S between jet and cylinder varied us H/S=4, 6 and 10 for Reynolds number in the range of 5000?Re?20000. Variations of flow behaviour temperature profiles on cylinder were investigated by increasing number of cylinders. Experimental part of the work has been conducted in Cukurova University, Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, in closed-loop open water channel using a PIV technique. Experimental measurements of the test section of 900 mm × 390 mm × 390 mm in a channel with a different speed ratios were different for the horizontal and vertical distances. Rectangular nozzle jet flow is achieved, size 30 mmx390 mm. Three different velocty (ReD = 5000, 7500, and 10000) were consistent with the comparison of computational fluid dynamics.
