Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the free vibration and buckling load of the simply supported beam, whose core layer is isotropic material, the bottom and top layers are reinforced with carbon nanotubes and carbon fiber reinforced composite layers, were investigated by the finite element method. The Halpin-Tsai model is used for the lower and upper layers of the simply supported beam and the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory is used for the finite element modeling. Finite element modeling of beams has been studied through a code written in MATLAB. In the study, the effects of carbon nanotube ratio, fiber orientation angle and core height to beam height ratio (h/H) on natural frequency, buckling, displacement and stress values between layers were investigated. It has been observed that the investigated parameters have a significant effect on the beam.
