Abstract (EN)
Investigations into what humans really are have maintained their importance in different forms in every age. Human reality, supported by different disciplines such as anthropology, psychology and neuroscience, is also the dominant issue of art and philosophy. Especially in the XX. Philosophers and artists who witnessed inhumane practices in the 20th century did not remain indifferent to what happened. Jean Paul Sartre, the influential thinker of this period, also took his privileged place by devoting the intensity of his intellectual adventure to understanding human beings. Although Sartre evaluated humans on an ontological basis, he benefited from disciplines such as anthropology and psychology when necessary. In addition, the thinker, who attaches importance to art, increased the comprehensibility of his philosophy in his novels and plays. However, it is not possible to understand all of Sartre's philosophy. Therefore, some of his ideas are the subject of discussion by researchers, both because he does not express the issue clearly and because he writes some of his works in a hasty manner due to his visual impairment. One of the issues discussed is the attitude of "self-deception", which he calls "mauvaise foi". Sartre prioritizes the understanding of self and consciousness; evaluates it within the framework of freedom, responsibility, anxiety, and relationships with others. It tells how people resort to self-deception in situations where they cannot bear their weight, in their explorations of their self while in these notions. It tells how people resort to self-deception in situations where they cannot bear their weight, in their explorations of their self while in these notions. Moreover, it explains the roles of consciousness in the state of self-deception. Keywords: Human Reality, Consciousness, Con-don't, İnternal Narrowing, Mauvaise Foi
