Abstract (EN)

Jameson flotation column is a device developed in recent years, used for the treatmentof hard to beneficiate fine particles and has high flotation efficiency. Consists of two main parts. These are downcomer, where micro events of flotation occur, and cell (tank), where separationof hydrophobic-hydrophillic particles occurs. The aim of this study is to determination the effect of some working parameters, such asjet length, bias, solid ratio%, downcomer plunge length, tank diameter and jet velocity, on theflotation efficiency by using the three difference size group (-250+106, -106+53 and -53 µm)and determination of the optimal values of these parameters for each size group. As a result of flotation experiments with pure quartz, it was found that jet length, biasfactor, solid ratio%, downcomer plunge length, tank diameter and jet velocity significantlyeffect the efficiency and these effects are depended upon particle size change according to threedifference size group.Key words: Jameson flotation column, grain size, flotation efficiency
