Abstract (EN)
20th century has witnessed very intersting developments in terms of philosophical and architecture diciplines. Firstly, effects of I. and II. World War, afterwards increasing technological developments and globalization provide a milieu for new space perceptions and philosophical diciplines furthermore this effects have caused increasing interaction between philosophy and architecture.In this connection, especially in the last quarter of the 20th century Jean Baudrillard who has contributed to architectural enviroments with his philosophy,with Simulation Theory, he?s influenced new consisting architectures in terms of conceptual and philosophical.Throughout the thesis, position of Jean Baudrillard?s in 20th century philosophy and contributions to architecture `s been explained. In the part of Introduction, the aim of thesis and context of thesis `ve been defined. In the second part of thesis, Modernity which can be considered the extension of Enlightement and Industrial Revolution in the 20th century, has been analised in the term of philosophy. In this part, conceptual background, origin, parameters and criticsm of Modernity?s been explained. In the third part of thesis, Postmodernity which?s based on the increased critics of Modernity in the last half of 20th century, has been analised in term of philosophy. In this part Postmodern Era?s conceptual background, philosophical characterictics and parameters `ve been explained moreover some philosphers?s ideas who accept to or object to Postmodernism, have been explained. With this explanation Baudrillard position in Postmodern Philosophy has been identified. Fourt part of thesis has been allocated to Jean Baudrillard?s philosophical dissertation, especially Simulation Theory. In this part firstly Baudrillard?s philosophical changes in the 20th century `ve been analysed chronologically through his works. And then Simulation Theory and concepts which was consisted for his theory by Baudrillard, have been explained. In the fifth part of thesis has been allocated to Jean Baudrillard?s approaches and influence on the architecture of the 20th century. In this part, especially, Baudrillard?s attitudes on modernity ?postmodernity arguement on architecture have been analysed. And also Baudrillard?s influence through Simulation Theory on deconstructivist and virtual architecture has been explained. In the sixth part of thesis architectural concepts, comments and critics in Jean Baudrillard?s texts have been researched and also a reading of history of architecture has been substantianed with the order of simulacrum. In the ninth part of thesis called comment and conclusion, comments of contributions of Jean Baudrillard to interaction between philosophy and architecture in 20th century have been made.
