Abstract (EN)

In the late 20th century, postmodernism began to be the subject of study by social scientists. There are opinions that it was invented in the 1800s. By the 1960s, it was being used openly and actively in the New York art scene. There was no field that it did not penetrate; it's effects were seen in many fields from sociology to literatüre, from architecture to cinema. In these debates, the concept of post- modernism was generally discussed in contrast to the concept of medemnizua. This is because the concept is derived from the prefix meaning after, beyond. There fore, ıt is primarily emphasized in this study that it means post-modern beyond. Moreover, it has been quite difficult to define it since it is spread over an ever- expanding field from aesthetic concerns and criteria to sociological trajectories and philosophy of science. In order to overcomethis difficulty, it will be useful to look at the views and approaches put forward by various thinkers. These approaches are categorized under two headings. The first is the critique of modernism and the second is post-modernism as a specialcase of modernism. In the present study, the concept of postmodernism stars from the enlightenment period and with modernism as a consequence of it. This study, wich has been prepared with the archive scanning technique of the qualitative research method as the general method, is concluded by explaining Jean-Jacques Rousseau's approach to postmodernism.
