Dr. Özcan AY Clarias lazera was exposed to 0.25, 0.50 and 1.00 ppm Cd for 30 days period and accumulation over 30 days and depuration of the metal over 15, 30 and 45 days from the gill, liver, kidney, spleen and muscle tissues were studied. Metal levels in tissues were studied using ICP-AES spectrophotometric methods. Cadmium accumulation increased in all the tissues studied as the concentration of the metal in the medium increased. Highest accumulation of the metal was observed in the kidney tissue followed by the liver, spleen, gill and muscle tissues. During the 15, 30 and 45 days depuration periods, after 30 days of exposure, no difference was observed in spleen and liver tissues, a general decrease in gill and muscle tissues and an increase in kidney tissue was measured. Key Words: Clarias lazera, Cadmium, Accumulation, Depuration II
