Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to investigate which of personal and volleyball related factors cause of stress among female volleyball players and coping strategies of these players according to personal features. Female volleybol players in Turkish Second Division Group A in Season 2014- 2015 volunteered for the study after getting legal permissions. As data gathering tool in addition to personal information form, created by the researcher, Turkish form of Lazarus and Folkman' s Coping Strategies with Stress Scale was used. In the evaluation of data first reliability of the scale and distribution of data was assessed. For the distribution of participants' personal features and perceived stress sources percentage, frequency and cross tabulation methods were used. To find out significat differences between two groups independent samples t test and for more than two groups one way Anova were used. As a result elite female volleyball players mostly prefer optimistic approach as a strategy to cope with stress and their coping strategies significantly differ according to age, education level, maritual status (p<0,05). But there was no significant difference according to year of volleyball playing and average monthly income (p>0,05).
