Abstract (EN)

Women at work just because of gender and sex in society, has installed a variety of roles and responsibilities of attitude, behavior and face prejudices. Upper management levels rise due to the working life of women they encounter all sorts of invisible gender barrier "Glass ceiling" is called. Women managers sometimes encounter the glass ceiling in the face of obstacles to overcome this have to accept that sometimes they are applying various strategies In this thesis, the first chapter, the historical process at work in the position of women and problems encountered by the workforce is considered. The second section, the concept of female managers and the glass ceiling, glass ceiling, causing the elements, explaining the negative consequences and strategies to overcome the glass ceiling, a sub-structure has been established in accordance with the literature. Application section of women working as intense and the most important center of textile industry in Bursa in Turkey, working in textile businesses glass ceiling barriers faced by women managers and strategies to overcome them have been analyzed.Key Words: Women Workface, Women Manager, Promotion, Glass Ceiling Perception of the Glass Ceiling
