Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to increase the level of knowledge of women onenvironment and constitute environmental consciousness for them by givingeducational program on environment.With this aim, 60 women have taken in the scope of this research, which areattending the courses of 100.Year Informal Education Programs.To determine the level of environmental knowledge of women, there hadbeen prepared inquiry form. Inquiries distributed for research group before study andrequired to answer them. Afterwards, four weeks educational program onenvironmental science and problems was applied. After applied study, the similarinquiries distributed for women to expose the effect of given study.Percent and frequency values fixed by SPSS program in evaluation of data,chi-square analyze and t-test applied.As a result of applied inquiries, the level of knowledge of women increased inenvironmental science, reasons and effects of environmental problems, and the wayof protection from these problems. This shows that, applied education for women onenvironment is beneficial.According to results taken from the tests before and after the study; success is58.77 out of 100 before the study, however, this success increased to 84.90 after thestudy. As a result of the control by t-test, the difference statistically determined to beimportant.
