Determination of macrofungi growing in Kahta (Adıyaman)

ABSTRACT DETERMINATION OF MACROFUNGI GROWING IN KAHTA (ADIYAMAN) DISTRICT AKAN, Zübeyde M.Sc. in Biology. Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet OZASLAN August 2002, 86 pages ABSTRACT This study was carried out on macrofungi growing in Kahta (Adıyaman) district between 2001-2002. Periodic field trips were performed to the localities belonging to Kahta region and macrofungi samples were collected. After the specimens were brought to the laboratory they were prepared as herbarium materials. As a result of the laboratory studies, 35 taxa belonging to Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes, were determined. Six of them belonged to Ascomycetes and 29 to Basidiomycetes. Five of them were new records for the macrofungi flora of Turkey. These specimens had a percentage of 14.3 in the total taxa. Key Words: Macrofungi, taxonomy, Kahta, Adıyaman iv
