Investigation of the behavior of reinforced concrete plates manufactured with calcium aluminate cement triple systems

Abstract (EN)
The development of building construction methods has increased the orientation to different building systems underground and above ground. In this study, triple system mixtures with calcium aluminate cement were prepared in order to meet the needs of different building systems. Silica fume and gypsum were used in order to prevent the decrease in the strength of the porous structure resulting from the imbalance in the transformation reaction of the calcium aluminate cement. The main purpose of the study is to investigate the usability of reinforced concrete bearing elements by preparing environmentally friendly and functional concrete mixtures with high early age strength, high durability. With the triple systems created for these purposes, 3 different mixtures, one of which is a reference, and a mixture with portland cement were prepared. Microstructure analysis and hydration mechanisms were investigated in ternary system mixtures. 4 different mixtures were subjected to flexural and compressive strength tests and their ways of gaining strength were examined. With triple system mixtures, 6 pieces of 1/3 scaled 100x100x8 cm double layer steel mesh reinforced concrete slabs were prepared. Plates were subjected to stapling strength test at the end of the 1st and 28th days. At the end of the 1st and 28th days on 15x15x15 cm cube samples taken from the slab mixes, the water penetration depth test was performed under pressure and compared with the portland cement mixes. According to the results obtained, the mineral additives used in the triple systems embrittled the reinforced concrete slabs and showed poor performance against punching damage compared to the reference samples. High ettringite caused by mineral additives increased early age strength and decreased water permeability.
