Abstract (EN)
This study, which was prepared in order to determine whether the disaster awareness and awareness of public employees make a difference in terms of demographic variables, was designed in three basic dimensions. In the first chapter, the concept of "disaster" and its types and the disaster potential of Bitlis, which is the sample of the study, are emphasized. In the second part of the study, the basic concepts of the study such as disaster management, awareness and consciousness were examined. In the last section, an analysis was made on the approach known as the screening model and included in the quantitative research methods. As a result, it has been seen that disaster awareness and awareness make a significant difference in demographic terms such as gender, age, education, marital status and working time. It is expected that the findings will not only contribute to the determination of disaster awareness and awareness for public institution employees, but also guide institution managers and policy makers.
