Abstract (EN)
In this study, the perception of merit of public health workers was compared in terms of some demographic variables. The research was carried out with statistical analyzes on the data collected by the survey technique from the employees of the Bitlis Provincial Health Directorate. Data accepted as valid from 289 participants, 157 male and 132 female, were included in the study. As a result, when the sub-dimensions of the perception of merit scale were compared with the gender variable, it was observed that there was a significant difference in favor of male participants in the sub-dimension of standardization in merit. In the pairwise comparison made in terms of the participants' perceptions of merit and the marital status variable; It was observed that there was no significant difference between all sub-dimensions of the perception of merit scale and the marital status variable. In the pairwise comparison of the working status variable and the sub-dimensions of the perception of merit scale; It has been concluded that there is a significant difference between the working status and the sub-dimensions of suitability for the job and not leaving the merit. When the average score of the participants' perception of merit is compared with the age variable; It has been observed that the sub-dimensions of suitability for the job and not leaving the merits of the merit perception scale make a significant difference with the age variable. In the comparison of the sub-dimensions of the perception of merit scale with the variable of educational status; it was seen that the perceptions of the participants' alienation from merit made a significant difference according to their education level.
