White code practice in public hospital: An application in Aydın Hospital Gynaecology and Children's diseases department

Nowadays, there has been a dramatic increase in violence against healthcare professionals with a broad perspective in all areas of Turkey. At this period, violation of right to live has increased dramatically and new regulations were done although the results are not clear enugh. A commission related to violence against healthcareprofessionals was set up in Turkish Grand National Assembly. The ministry of health published " a circular letter to provide safety for workers in health department'' and çivil society performed various works to raise awareness of public. With the colourful code application,network connection at hospitals was put into an effect to prevent physical violence, sharassment and define the precautions for those.The white cod that is used to prevent the current violence against healthcare workers is the main subject of our academic research. The studies that were conducted at Aydın Gynaecology and Children Diseases Hospital Show that the places people expose to violence change as to positions of specialists,nurses and midwies.Most of themare exposed to violence at emergency servises where waiting periods are less than an hour.As a result of the study,it this defined that White code application can be a good example for vell-organised governance.
