Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to analyse leisure constraints and satisfaction of disabled people working in public sector in Antalya city center. The research includes disabled people working in public sector in Antalya city center in 2011. Data collection tool was a questionnaire form consisting of four parts. In the first part there are demographic questions for the participants and in the second part there are questions about participation in recreative activities for disabled people. The third part of the questionnaire was ?Leisure Constraints Scale? developed by Alexandris and Carroll (1997) and adapted to Turkish language by Karaküçük and Gürbüz (2006). The last part of the questionnaire was ?Leisure satisfaction scale? develped by Beard and Ragheb (1980) and adapted to Turkish language by Karlı et al. (2008). According to the findings, 41,5% of the participants knew the definition of recreation where 58,5% was detected not to know the definition of recreation. When it comes to leisure constraints of participants, ?Social Environment and Lack of Knowledge? was most important subdimension of the scale ( =3,07±0,56) where ?Lack of Interest? was least important subdimension of the scale ( =2,63±0,66). When considering leisure satisfaction levels of the participants the subdimension with the highest mean was ?Social? ( =2,72±1,01) and the subdimension with the lowest mean was ?Relaxation? dimension ( =1,21±0,54).
