Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effect of profitabilityannouncements of publicandprivatebankstraded in the BIST 100 index in 2014-2019 on the market wasinvestigated. Inthefirstpart of thestudy, basicinformationaboutbanking is mentioned, in thesecondpart, informationaboutefficientmarketshypothesis is given. Inthethirdpart of thestudy, theeffect of profitabilityannouncements on stocks is analyzedby case stud ymethod. Throughout the study, previoustheoreticalandempiricalstudies on thesubjectwereused.
