Abstract (EN)
Energy is one of the most basic building blocks in determining the development level of countries. In societies with rising welfare levels, energy consumption is increasing day by day with the developing technology. The increase in the need for energy in all areas of daily life and the awareness of the negative effects of fossil fuels have led countries to alternative energy sources. Renewable energy sources; It has many advantages such as being unlimited, renewing itself, and reducing emissions compared to fossil fuels. Without the need to search for a new location, idle lands that are left empty at airports for security reasons and have no other use can be utilized with renewable energy resources. As a result of the literature review, airports using renewable energy in the world were examined, and the applicability of renewable energy to Yozgat Airport was evaluated within the scope of this thesis. Photovoltaic systems for which feasibility studies were carried out for Yozgat Airport; The economic, technical and operational effects on aviation are presented. It has been calculated that in case of the establishment of solar energy systems by evaluating a certain part of the idle lands that can be used outside the obstacle course at Yozgat Airport, approximately 3,500,000 kWh of energy can be obtained annually and the cost to be spent for the supply of this energy will be covered in approximately 4.5 years. It has been concluded that the use of PV systems at the airport does not pose a high risk when necessary precautions are taken, systems with a service life of approximately 30 years will reduce the operating costs and the installation of the system will be economical.
