Abstract (EN)

Agriculture forms the basis of the country's economy because it is used to both meet the food needs and provides raw materials to the industry. Agriculture, which has a great role in the economic development of countries, has also been in constant relation with the economy. In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between agriculture and economy and to find the variables that contribute the most to the correlation between the variable sets. İn this context, the relationship between agriculture and economy in Turkey examined with Canonical Correlation Analysis fort he 2014-2019 period. Economy set consist of gross domestic product, total number of enterprises, Gini coefficient and total export; on the other hand agricultural set consist of the variables of plant prodction value, animal production value, production amount of grains and plant products, production amount of animal products and total cultivated agricultural area. When the correlations of the variables in the sets were examined separately, the highest correlation was found between the variables of export and the amount of production of animal products. In the two variable sets created, the variance explanation rate within the first set and within the second set was found to be higher thaan the explanation rate fort he two groups separately.
