Abstract (EN)

Corrosion resistance, ease of supply, formability, economy, production style and tribological characteristics are the main factors affecting the selection of industrial materials in the world and in our country. Considering properties of polymer materials, it is seen that polymers have many of these properties which affect the material selection. polymer materials have been taken place in many industrial applications as well as daily life, in the last quarter of the century due to the fact that they exhibit a higher strength/weight ratio than traditional materials such as steel, glass, ceramic materials. One of the applications of the polymer materials is usage of the polymers as the coating material. In this thesis, the utilization of the PA12 powders in the coating of slip assemble used in cardan shafts instead of PA11 which are already used in the coating of slip assemble was investigated. The purpose of the employment of PA12 in the coating of the slip assemblies instead of PA11 is to provide advantages of ease of supply and cost. Polymer coatings with PA12 and PA11 were performed in this study. The coated samples were subjected to abrasion tests using two different abrasives, 100Cr6-ball and 115CrV3-pin, and the tribological behavior of the coatings was compared. As a result of the experimental study, it has been concluded that PA12 powder shows better tribological behavior than PA11 in terms of performance and strength.
