Abstract (EN)

Mixed-use buildings that include residential, commercial, entertainment, etc. uses can be quite difficult to provide auditory comfort since there are many noise sources. The reason for this is that different uses are hosted together due to their sensitivity to noise. Therefore, in order to provide auditory comfort in such structures, the acoustic requirements of each use within the structure must be met. The aim of the thesis study is to evaluate the acoustic conditions in the structure by examining the propagation of entertainment noise in a mixed-use structure with interior noise maps. In the literature review conducted within the scope of the thesis study, it was determined that most regulations do not include sufficient data specifically for mixed-use structures. Due to the lack of information in the literature and regulations specifically for mixed-use structures, field studies to be conducted on noise in these structures are important. As a result of the field study, it is thought that the noise control strategies developed to provide auditory comfort will guide practitioners, designers, and law enforcement officers and contribute to future studies. A mixed-use commercial building located in Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir province was selected as the study area within the scope of the thesis study. ODEON 14 software was used to create noise mapping of the semi-open circulation areas of the commercial building in question. A calibration model was created with the measurements made in the field and the noise levels obtained by creating noise maps in the circulation areas were compared with the limit values in the regulations. As a result of the study, it is thought that the auditory comfort in the building will be provided with the noise control strategies created in the light of the noise maps and data obtained from the literatüre.
