Abstract (EN)

Aim: In this study, the sleep quality of the dermatology patients who have pruritus complaint was evaluated. Method:This research was made as a case-control study. This research universe consist of 100 pruritic patients who apply to the Dermatology policlinic in the Private Salihli Hospital and 100 non-pruritic patients. The data was collected in between August-December, 2017 by using ''Introductory Information Form'', ''Pitssburgh Sleep Quality Index'', ''Insomnia Severity Index'' Findings: The avarage age of people who participated in research is 37,16±14,33 and 69% of the case group is woman and 49% of the group is married. It is observed that 81% of control group is woman and 54% of the group is married. 56,8% of the group participated in research have poor sleep quality. 43,2% people of the control group have poor quality sleep and 63,2% of the research group have good sleep quality. Results: According to the research; the sleep quality of the case group is significantly lower than the sleep quality of the control group.
