Abstract (EN)

This study named as "Fauna of Lepidoptera Kastamonu Forest Enterprise Case" made for determining Lepidoptera fauna living in Kastamonu Forest Enterprise region between 2011-2013 years. Distribution of Lepidoptera species, their host plant species have been identified in the study area. Lepidoptera and related studies have been investigated in the first phase. In the second phase sample collection process has begun in Kastamonu Forest Enterprises which have been conducted on the designated places. Light trap and netting were used to collect Lepidoptera species in 16 different location. Captured species were taken to the laboratory after that preparation and identification processes have been made. Identification were made according to morphological characteristics of butterflies. After identification, for writing characteristics of the species previous literature studies were utilized. As a result of the two-year study, 43 species belonging to 13 families were identified. Nymphalidae family is the richest with a number of species (11). This was followed Pieridae (9), Satyridae (5), Lycaenidae (3), Sphingidae (3), Arctidae (3), Geometridae (2), Noctuidae (2) Papillionidae (1), Zygaeııidae (1), Pyralidae (1), Lasiocampidae (1), Saturnidae (1). 27 of captured butterfly species are involved in IUCN Red List. Maniola megalu belonging Satyridae family is determined as near endemic.
