Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of the research, the stone ornament on the crown gate of Yılanlı Islamic-Ottaman Social Complex in Kastamonu was discussed. In field literature reviews; In addition to the epitaph showing the 13th-19th century stone ornament features, it was seen that ornaments consisting of geometric, herbal and rumi patterns compositions were used intensively. Applications and XIII. century rocaille, which are located on the crown gate of the Yılanlı Islamic-Ottaman Social Complex, reflects the art of the Anatolian Seljuk Period. The work carried out within the scope of the thesis is confined to the crown gate ornaments of the Yılanlı Islamic-Ottaman Social Complex. In this context, the stone ornament on the crown gate of the Yılanlı Islamic-Ottaman Social Complex from Seljuk art to the present; Applications were made in mosaic technique in terms of composition, material, technique and size. Applications, the application of stone material and traditional pattern to the surface of tile material are important in terms of contituation and observing the experimental process in art. Plate and cylindrical forms were produced by casting technique on the crown gate ornament sample of Yılanlı Islamic-Ottaman Social Complex, which is the subject of the study. Mosaic technique, glaze processing (fake mosaic) technique and inlay mosaic technique were applied on the produced forms. In order to create an example and source for today's traditional Turkish art, applied art works were produced within the scope of the thesis.
