Abstract (EN)
Natural stones of monuments represent an important part of our world?s cultural heritage. The stones are deteriored with the direct or indirect interaction of weathering. Application of damage indices improves stone damage diagnosis and is very suitable for evaluation of preservation measures and for long-term survey and maintenance of stone monuments. The monument mapping method can also be recommended for the control of preservation measures and for reevaluation of weathering damage in the framework of long-term monitoring and maintenance of monuments. The thesis presents the methodology of mapping of weathering forms of stone monuments by using a new-developed classification system.
