Abstract (EN)
The national building codes used in Turkey for design of steel structures are exist code TS 648 and Eurocode 3.Eurocode, being one of these alternatives and is a natural result of the establishment of the European Economic Community. Despite being prapered for common usage in European countries. There are still some other codes available. İn this study, Eurocode 3: Design Of Steel Structures Part 1.1: General Rules And Rules For Buildings and TS 648: Building Code For Steel Structures are used for research.İn design practice welded connections the most commonly used connection typology due to their ability to reduce the relative rotation between the beam and the column allowing, in many cases, the simple modelling of the building structure as a continuous frame. İn fact, in the case of welded connections, the beam to column joint behaviour is very close to that of the ideally rigid one. Provided that the column web is stiffened by doubler plates or diagonal stiffeners.This study ends with a comparative example using each of the there analysis codes mentioned above.
