The alga ekology of kaz mountain zeytinli stream

In this study, the alga ecology of Edremit district of Balıkesir province, Kaz Mountain Zeytinli Stream was examined with seasonal samples and different habitats (epilithic, epiphytic, epipelic and planctonic) between November 2019 and August 2020 and some physical-chemical values were measured by determining their seasonal distribution. For this purpose, 4 different locations were determined in the work area and seasonal samples were taken and examined. A total of 89 taxa were identified when Zeytinli Stream alga flora was examined. Of the taxa identified, 55 belonged to Bacillariophyta, the dominant group, while 14 belonged to Chlorophyta, 7 to Cyanophyta, 5 to Euglenophyta and 4 to Charophyta, Miozoa groups. As a result of the study, divizio, which is dominant in the number and density of taxa, was determined, but the group, which is a subdominant, was also determined. During the study, Bacillariophyta division was found to be the dominant Chlorophyta division was the subdominant. Cyanophyta followed the these two groups, while the Euglenophyta, Charophyta and Miozoa groups were found to be equally observed. Bacillariophyta's Nitzschia palea species was found to be the most dominant species, followed by Gomphonema parvulum, Nitzschia paleacea, Hantzschia amphioxys, Fragilaria capucina and Pinnularia brebissonii species. The most dominant species belonging to Chlorophyta, the subdominant, was identified as Oedogonium cardiacum. During the study, the water temperature was 6,7 – 25,6 °C, the pH value was 8,7 – 10,1, the TDS value was 146 - 677 mg/L, conductor value ranged from 1390 - 2840 μS cm-1, dissolved O2 8,7 – 11,8 mg/L ORP to -33,8 – 25,7 mV, salinity 18,2 – 33,5 ppt, turbidity 13,7 – 57,6 NTU.
