Abstract (EN)

All the economic, social and political changes from late 19th century to our day, influence, change and improve, from different aspects, those spaces that experienced these developments. Urban regeneration is a multidimensional concept that includes how urban spaces affected by all these developments are transformed with different methods and techniques. Requirement of socially and economically precipitated areas where the growing labour class lives in Western countries with the industry revolution and the re-building of Europian and American cities demolished after WWII and the reevaluation of industrial areas that became nonfunctional in the later periods of 20th century, introduce the development of urban regeneration that related with the changing world conditions in the length of time . In Turkish cities, which have been affected from these developments in the historical process with varying extents, the urban regeneration phenomenon has become a concept often emphasized with regard to the transformation of urban spaces decaying in recent years, and debates are continued on the outcomes of the practices carried out. This study made the aim of with which dynamics urban regeneration projects implemented in the inner city housing areas, that realized with the requirement of new land production in recent urban areas which came into precipitation process, and explication of the physical, economic and social dimensions of urban regeneration, and for analyzing the achieved findings on the example of Bursa Doğanbey Urban Regeneration Project.
