Murat YILMAZ ABSTRACT In cities that are constantly changing and recycled in physical and functional terms, the city centers and their surroundings are affected by these changes. The interaction of the places that have the economic and social qualities of the various places in the city centers and surrounding areas is the place where the people and people feel the most. The reason for this is that the provinces are the most crowded and open spaces. Over time, social, economic and physical changes as a result of different requests and needs, the places seen as the center have lost popularity, residential areas and parts of the houses have been neglected and therefore began to collapse in the houses. The researchs and strategies developed in line with this subject matter are of great importance. The aim of this study is to examine the structural features of the buildings in the central Sur district of Diyarbakır province and to investigate the effects of macro form effects on the living standards and physical, cultural and social environments of the people living there. The Republic of Turkey has supported this project not only as a social transformation project edererk not mobilized a lot of opportunities as urban transformation. As a result of the study, when the urban transformation is examined in terms of macro form, it is seen that the respondents' satisfaction with the housing and social equipments is high. As a result, the urban transformation project in Suriçi resulted in the satisfaction of 90.8% of the participants.
