Abstract (EN)

The content of my thesis on the contribution of classical original printmaking methods to industrial printing techniques is to examine how the main techniques and basic inventions that enable the development of today's known industrial printing methods have evolved with technology and industrialized and to state the results. The techniques used in original printmaking works are classified in four different ways according to their characteristics from the past to the present. It is high printing, (linoleum printing-decals), template printing, (screen printing), intaglio printing (gravure) and flat printing (lithography). High printing (wood printing) has evolved over time and revealed the letterpress printing. During the research process of this thesis, printing houses that made letterpress printing were visited and materials used in printing techniques were examined. Under the heading of stencil printing, the history of serigraphy and in which sectors it is used today are explained; The printing techniques in textile, packaging and electronics sectors and ceramic and porcelain companies were examined separately, and the information obtained by photographing on-site was included. In the intaglio printing section, the engraving technique and the stages of transformation of these techniques into "gravure printing" by developing and changing with technology and the equipment used are explained in detail. In the research on flat printing (lithography), the change and development of lithography, which is used by many printing houses today, has been examined together with its materials and techniques. Major organizations using these industrial technologies were visited and interviews were made on site.
