Abstract (EN)
Co43Fe20Ta5.5B31.5 bulk metallic glass is one of the most metallic alloys which has the highest fracture strenght. However, critical casting thickness of this alloy is 2mm. In the studies conducted, glass forming ability of Co43Fe20Ta5.5B31.5 alloys are only 4mm. This study investigates the effect of variation in iron rate on glass forming ability through manipulating iron rates of bulk metallic glass systems between 20%- 50%. Samples of synthezised alloys have been obtained through implementing vacuum melting. Critical casting thickness of obtained casting samples have been determined by X-Ray Diffraction. Futhermore, glass transitions, crystalizations and melting temperatures of alloys have been determined with Differential Scaning Calorimeter (DSC) analysis.
