Abstract (EN)
The organizational communication element is one of the most important factors that enterprises have attached to the most in recent years and have the most determination in terms of the quality of their work. In addition to the presentation of their products and services, businesses act with a focus on organizational communication quality in terms of management, communication and interaction. The civil aviation sector is also one of the business lines where organizational communication is extremely important. Especially the quality, capacity and communication style of the individuals working in airline companies are of great importance for the working environment of the enterprises. One of the things that makes a difference in terms of organizational communication for companies in sectors where there is intense interaction between employees as in airline companies is the element of emotional intelligence. In this thesis study, the general framework of the concepts of emotional intelligence and organizational communication together with the effects of these concepts on the relationship between employees were investigated in the literature and practice. In the last part of the study, it is aimed to reveal the effect of the emotional intelligence abilities of the cockpit and cabin crew in the companies operating in the aviation sector on organizational communication. Accordingly, the research was applied to 353 people working in aviation sector companies in Istanbul. The application was carried out according to the convenience sampling method. The variables used in the study consist of emotional intelligence and organizational communication scales. In the light of the results of the study, it is possible to say that the dimensions of evaluating one's own emotions, controlling one's own emotions and controlling others' emotions have a high effect on the organizational cooperation and communication variable.
