Abstract (EN)

Orthopedic plates contribute significantly to bone fracture treatment methods. Stress analysis is applied to the orthopedic plates for optimum design considerations. In this study, three-dimensional six hole bone-plate model has been developed using finite element method in ANSYS program. After that stress anaylsis has been carried out under real loading and boundary conditions. In bone plate system, stress values in plate, plate-screw contact surfaces and bonescrew surfaces have been investigated. The numeric values have been shown on graphics. On the next step stress values during healing process have been investigated. Healing percentage on which critical stress value not exceeded has been found. Furthermore, critical loading conditions and values have been determined in the bone ?plate system. Finally, upper, middle and lower screws have been removed seperately from the plate and stres values have been observed and compared for different conditions.. The aim is to observe the influence of the different conditions on the rigidity of the bone-plate system and compare the stress values on the plate. Keywords : Stress analysis, finite element methods, bone-plate systems.
