Abstract (EN)
Appropriate combustion of low grade lignites, which constitutes the greatest portion of our national energy sources, in existing combustion system (boilers, stoves) from the energy economy and environmental pollution points of view, and improving the structure of the system or developing new combustion systems will give the opportunity of utilization of our natural sources in the most economic way without giving any harm to the environment. The rational use of the energy sources, existing energy production, transportation and utilization systems must be reviewed in today's ekonomic circumstances and must be developed in order to suit to this circumstances. For this purpose a boiler test center has been established in the Thermal- Power Laboratory of Gazi University Engineering Architecture Faculty Mechanical Engineering department, for carrying out the interdisciplianry and development research within the Gazi University Energy Environmental systems and Industrial Rehebilatation Research Center. It will be possible to carry out research and improvement works on productive utilization of the Energy and control of the environmental pollution, in this test center. All the necessary circumstances for the boiler manufacturers and users for carrying out all research and development tests in order to burn our lignites in the most clean and produktive manner are included in the design of this test center.
