Study of at-Tafsirul Mevdui li Suveri'il Quran'el Kareem within the context of topical tafsir

There has been always a quest to understand Quran. When the Prophet Muhammad ( pbh) was alive, every problem or an issue was found a solution by himself. Later when he passed away from this world, Muslims tried to find a solution against from Quran for new problems occurred in their time. In the era of recent specialization, a new approach emerged and that was topical tafsir which means any subject is discussed in detail within the whole Quranic context and also every surah is sorted out within its own meaning map. That, of course, was a result of effort understanding Quran. Here what we handle At-tafsirul Mevdui li Suveri'l-Quran'il Kareem is the first example which tries to interpret according to this holistic approach. In the first part, we have analyzed the lexical and term meaning of tafsir and how the prophet interpreted himself as being the very first mufassir of Quran and the way of companions of his. And also, we have investigated the importance of tafsir, the qualities should be had by the mufassir and tafsir ecoles. Within this context topical tafsir – At-tefsirul Mevdui, we have studied lexical and term meanings and we have given information about its types, history and its importance. In the second part, we handle out the basic features of this book within a wholistic approach. Later, we have analyzed its method and upon giving examples from different surahs we have tried to state the way of the book follows. In this context, we have given examples from different surahs to understand better of its method and to determine if it is coherent with its method. We have tried to set forth our findings and opinions upon the topic. We have completed our thesis by a conclusion part.
