Abstract (EN)

Technological change in the world and the transformation experienced in many areas along with it also affect the construction sector. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is one of the concepts that has emerged in the construction sector in recent years and has become one of the concepts that provides development in a rapid process and allows for information sharing between parties. BIM offers a process that can be managed more easily thanks to its flexible modeling possibilities and interface. Dec. It provides the opportunity to store the physical and functional characteristics of a structure in the design and design processes, combine them on a 3-dimensional model, and transfer information in a common database with stakeholders involved in the life cycle of the structure. Considering the prevalence of the housing sector in Turkey and the excess of housing investments, the traditional methodical drawing tools (Autocad and solid, etc.) there was a greater need for BIM in order to increase the orientation to a more innovative technology instead of programs and to design advanced housing for the needs of the growing population. The aim of this study is to identify the problems encountered during the integration of Building Information Modeling into housing projects in Turkey and to accelerate the adaptation to BIM by offering solutions and asking categorical, assessment-scale and likert-scale questions online for companies providing engineering and architectural services and individual participants, a survey form was created, suggestions for the use of BIM in the housing sector were presented. Due to the growth of construction projects and the difficulty of process management, many countries have encouraged the use of BIM. Turkey, on the other hand, is at a more backward level compared to other countries. The most important reason for this is that the current order and methods do not want to be changed. Standards for the use of BIM in our country should be determined, guidelines that can be referenced should be published, factors that may hinder the adaptation process to BIM should be minimized, and government incentives should be provided for the use of BIM. Leaving the habits of traditional drawing methods in the housing sector will also be possible by providing adequate training on BIM and adapting to innovative technologies in every sense to eliminate the lack of expert staff.
