Abstract (EN)
For determination of 13th, 16th and 18th century Horasan mortar and bricks properties, which are important elements of Anatolian architecture, samples were collected from Konya Şerafettin Mosque (13th century), Ankara Tacettin Degrahı (16th century) and Ankara Leblecioğlu Mosque (18th century). Samples were anlysed for their mineralogical, micromorphological, physical and chemical characteristics by archaeometric approach. Results revealed that while the 13th and 16th century samples have smilar properties, the 18th century samples were different. This shows a change in the production of mortar and brick with time. Moreover, for detailed study of this time dependat change, a wide survey is needed from 12th to 19th century when Horasan Mortar was extensively used.
