Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, noice is one of the most important environmental problemsin the world. Major part of this noice pollution comes from the roadtraffic. In this study, effects of traffic arrangements -such asconstruction of grade separations- on the environmental traffic noisewere examined. In order to do this, two junctions in Ankara which wereplanned to be replaced with grade separations were chosen for thisstudy. Noise measurement were performed before and after theconstruction of the grade separations and the Community Noise Model(CNM 5.0) was used to model the junctions. After testing the noiselevels of models by comparing them with the measured traffic noiselevels, future traffic noise level predictions were performed byassuming that the number of vehicles would be doubled. By comparingthe measured results, effects of grade separations on environmentaltraffic noise were determined and the results were presented.
