Residential problems of refugees and immigrants who migrated from Crimea to Konya province (1853-1914)

A large number of migrations occurred to the Ottoman Empire as a result of the loss of Crimea and subsequent occupation of Tsarist Russia. After 1763, when the first mass migrations occurred, the migration movement continued without stopping. The incidents of torture, persecution, torture and persecution that Turkish people in Crimea are exposed to are remembered with deep sadness in Turkish history. The wars that took place between the Ottoman Empire and Tsarist Russia were effective in accelerating and intensifying these migration movements. After the occupation of 1783, the 1828-1829 Ottoman-Russian war, the Crimean War of 1853, the 93 War, which took place in 1877-1878, affected the Crimean Tatar and Noghai peoples with increasing Russian oppression and persecution. These migrations made by the Crimean Tatars and Noghais have been to the territory of the Ottoman State only and every time. The immigrants who came in the periods when the Balkans were not lost were settled in this geography. The developments in the Balkans and the increase in the disintegration process of the state forced both Turkish citizens living in the Balkans and Turkish citizens living in Crimea and settled here. As a result of these events, Crimean Tatar and Nogay refugees were settled all over the Anatolian geography. One of the important settlement areas is Konya. For the most part, the immigrants reach the Ottoman lands from the Crimea by sea, and have come to the ports of Istanbul and Samsun and came to Konya by rail or road, if possible. The Ottoman State provided serious aid and opportunities for food and accommodation for the immigrants, who were forced to migrate from the Crimean geography and reached the Ottoman territory and subsequently to Konya. Immigrants settled in Konya witnessed examples of solidarity and solidarity from local residents.
