Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in arid conditions in 2020 in order to determine the grain yield and some yield components of 16 registered chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) cultivars in Kırşehir ecological conditions. The study was designed in a randomized block design with three replications. In the study, 17 important yield and yield components were examined. In addition, the relationships between the examined characters were subjected to correlation analysis. As a result of the study, differences were determined between the varieties in terms of grain yield and yield characters in terms of 17 traits examined. In this study, 50% flowering time is 89.0-98.0 days, 50% pod filling time is 95.67-104.33 days, physiological maturation period is 127.33-142.67 days, plant height is 25.72-33.68 cm, first pod height is 10.77-17.78 cm, number of primary branches per plant is 1.78. -2.28 units, number of secondary branches 1.62-4.38 units, total number of pods 16.23-29.78 units/plant, number of empty pods 1.16- 2.71 units/plant, number of full pods 14.16-27.14 units/plant, number of seeds per plant 14.08-30.20 units/ plant, number of seeds per pod 1.003-1.127, seed yield per plant 5.83- 12.95 g, 100-seed weight 36.56-58.94 g, biological yield 194.87-450 kg/da, grain yield per decare 67.45-174.25 kg/da, harvest index 33%-41. In addition, according to the data obtained in the study, the number of grain yield and maturation days (r=0.584**), the number of xvi primary branches (r=0.402**), the number of secondary branches (r=0.705**), the total number of pods (r=0.834**), number of empty pods (r=0.553**), number of full pods (r=0.836**), number of seeds per plant (r=0.844**), number of seeds per pod (r=0.331**), seed weight per plant (r=1.000**), 100 seed weight (r=0.427**) and biological yield (r=0.963**) positively and significantly, with first pod height (r=-0.494**) significant and negative, flowering days (r=0.179), pod-fixing days (r=0.246) and harvest index (r=0.252) were found to be insignificant and positive, and insignificant and negative relations with plant height (r=-0.119). As conclusion, the highest grain yield of 174.25 kg/da was obtained from Çağatay chickpea variety. Morover İnci and Sezenbey chickpea varieties, which are in the same statistical group with Çağatay, were determined to be promising in Kırşehir ecological conditions has been obtained. In the study, the lowest grain yield was obtained from Hasanbey chickpea variety with 67.45 kg/da. August 2021, 126 Pg Keywords: Cicer arietinum L., Chickpea cultivars, Seed yield, Yield components.
