Abstract (EN)
Küçük Mecmua magazine is an intellectual, literary, scientific, political and economical magazine that published weekly in Diyarbakır in the period of National Literature. The Küçük Mecmua magazine, that started publish in the privilege and responsibility of Ziya Gökalp on 5 June 1338 (5 June 1922) was closed when Ziya Gökalp went to Ankara with the title of Head of Copyright and Translation Committee and the last issue of the magazine was published on 5 March 1923. In total, the magazine has thirty three issues. In Küçük Mecmua magazine, besides literary genres such as poetry, story, fairy tale, prose poetry and theater, writings on history, religion, philosophy, literature, politics and economics are also included. In the poems about war-heroism, new state construction, love and nature published in Küçük Mecmua, the syllabic meter, which is the measure of National Literature poetry, is used. Poems bearing the features of National Literature poetry in terms of language and style were taken with the forms of Aşık Literature, Divan Literature and Western Literature. Most of the stories published in the magazine are about war-heroism as well as stories about love. Most of the tales are put pen to paper by Ziya Gökalp and they are about love and social issues. There are also the tales that emphasizes the use of intelligence, work and family. Other literary genres in Küçük Mecmua are the two prose poems about the motherland, the flag and the nature, and a play about the Battle of Malazgirt. Apart from these, the most numerous articles in the magazine are the articles on history, religion, philosophy, literature, politics and economics. As a result, Küçük Mecmua magazine was published in accordance with the aims and characteristics of the National Literature movement and supported the National Struggle and became an important magazine for Diyarbakır press.
