Corporate entrepreneurship in small and medium sized enterprises: A research at OSTİM

Abstract (EN)

This study has two interrelated main objectives. Firstly, the current corporate entrepreneurship status of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and the factors that affect corporate entrepreneurship processes are presented. In the context of the first objective, corporate entrepreneurship processes and the factors affecting this process were examined in the context of SMEs' environment, characteristics of business managers and businesses, organizational structure, organizational culture and firm performance. Secondly, the opinions of business managers about corporate entrepreneurship and process with the definitions of corporate entrepreneurship of business managers were determined. The data used in the research were collected from 360 enterprises operating in OSTİM by questionnaire method. ANOVA analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed to reach the findings obtained from the research. It was observed that some of the demographic characteristics of the business managers and some of the characteristics of the enterprises were effective on the variables within the scope of the research. As a result of the research, it is seen that the organizational culture, organizational structure and the environment in which businesses operate, affect corporate entrepreneurial behaviors of enterprises, and corporate entrepreneurial behaviors of enterprises affect the performances of enterprises.
