3-dimensional modelling of cultural heritages and presenting on the web

With developments in information technologies and their dispersion to the whole society, museums, where cultural heritage is displayed, have been carried to electronic environment and a new museum concept has appeared called virtual museum or e-museum. In this study, in order to open our cultural heritage to millions of museum users via internet with virtual museum understanding, to increase the number of tourists in Turkey, to contribute to knowledge and cultural accumulation of humans, to help achieve social conscious of protecting cultural heritage, a virtual museum model involving information, photos, videos, maps and 3-D models to promote Aizanoi Antique City and Kütahya Archeology Museum was structured. Thanks to the application formed within the context of this study, it was concluded that a model can be structured to protect, document and pass down to the future generations the cultural heritage dispersed into a wide part of Turkey.
