Abstract (EN)
The Qur'an offers a holistic framework for addressing illicit gain, approaching it not merely as an economic matter but also as a moral, social, and legal concern. This phenomenon—manifested through practices such as ribā, bribery, misappropriation of orphans' property, and fraud in measurement and weighing—extends beyond individual interest to involve the protection of social justice, public trust, and the rights of future generations. For this reason, the Qur'an lays down universal principles aimed at safeguarding human dignity and maintaining social balance at both individual and institutional levels. Illicit gain is regarded not only as a worldly offense but also as a domain of ultimate, spiritual accountability. While warning individuals against such behavior, the Qur'an recounts the economic corruption of past communities through narrative accounts, thereby serving as a lasting admonition in the collective memory. The fair distribution of resources and the strengthening of solidarity are grounded in a value system that protects individual rights, making the construction of a Qur'an-centered economic outlook necessary. Drawing on classical Islamic thought, this approach offers universal and sustainable solutions to the economic and social challenges of the contemporary world. It emphasizes not only personal moral responsibility but also the preservation of social justice and ecological balance. Keywords: Tafsīr, Qur'an, Illicit Gain, Lawful Earning, Social Justice.
