Kaaba in Koran

Abstract (EN)

Kaaba is proper noun coming from the root of ka'b. Ka'b means tetragon or being cube-form, square house, being high and budding. It is shown that the reason of calling this name is being quadrangler, gibbous, medial and high. The beginning of sacred space ,Kaaba, is dated the age of first human ,prophet Adem ,even before him, and the historical process of being traced that the angels circumambulated the kaaba .It is explained that the prophets engaged in activities of construction on Kaaba and there were various activities of the construction.In the Koran,it is explained that Kaaba is reconstructed by prophet İbrahim. Accordin to Koran, Kaaba was accepted as a sacred place before Islam. People worshiped such as fasting, hajj ect. but they shirked by deviating from their avey in process of time. Moreover, it is told that people tried to change the sequence of months, because season didn't affect to economy negatively. According to Koran, Kaaba was determined as kiblah with İslam, Kaaba where millions of people come centre of worships. Had the qualification of a sacred place in İslam.This qualification is going to be same until the doomsday.
