Abstract (EN)
Keywords: Spheroidal graphite cast iron, carbon equivalence, thermal analysis, microstructure, mechanical properties. In this study, the effect of graft material on carbon equivalence and the changes in the microstructure and mechanical values in the material were investigated by using different inoculant materials in different ratios in spheroidal graphite cast iron. The determination of carbon equivalence was calculated by the change of the ratio of silicon in the spheroidal graphite cast iron, by the effect of the inoculant material. In this study, according to DIN 1563, GGG40 and GGG50 type materials were used. Mechanical properties, microstructure changes were observed in two different materials by using different proportions of inoculant materials. In addition, AlTiB (AlTiB 5/0,2 - Ti % 5 – B % 0,2 / Al % 94,8) alloy which is used as grain thinner in aluminum castings was added to the system and different type of inoculant were used in GGG40 standard material with %0,05, %0,20 ratio and carbon equivalence was determined by thermal analysis method. The result observed in this alloying is that the spherodial nodules have a thinner structure than the other samples and the mechanical values decrease to the lower levels compared to the other samples. According to the findings obtained in the study, the use of large amounts of inoculant using different types of inoculant to use microstructure ferritic, the lesser use of the microstructure to bring the pearlite level, GGG40 alloyed with AlTiB (AlTiB 5/0,2 - Ti % 5 – B % 0,2 / Al % 94,8) casting and microstructure and mechanical properties were found to be weakened.
