Abstract (EN)

This study aims at studying the ecumenical claims The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of the Phanar in the process of Globalization and at investigating the historical and religious sources of these claims. Our study is composed of the four sections: In the first chapter, the inception of Christianity and the constitutive dynamics and processes of Orthodoxy were analyzed. In the second chapter, the definition of "ecumenism" and the historical and religious foundations of ecumenical claims proposed by the Phanar were analyzed. In the third chapter, the status The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of the Phanar in the Ottomans and in the Republic of Turkiye was investigated within a general framework. In the last section, in the process of Globalization and especially in the aftermath of 1991 with the patriarchate of Bartholomeos, the ecumenical claims and praxes of the Phanar Rum Patriarchate within a historical framework and globalization variables were also analyzed.
