Flexibility of employment during globalization process and part-time employment

The increasing competititon in the beginning of 80?s and technologic developments suppressed the borders in the world. The process called as globalization changed the way of people?s living. During this study first these changes are explained and then actions of these changes in the labor market are emphasized. Part-time working which is one of the work called as flexible work is the main focus of this study. Different from full-time working part-time working is performed in the half of the day or on determined days of the week and constantly rising in the total employment. The action which is demanded by the employer or employee is advised to governments by international foundations due to struggle with unemployment, employment of disadvantaged groups and efficiency. Especially, because of its importance in women employment it is both supported and sometimes criticized by non-governmental organizations.
