Abstract (EN)
In the view of globalization new advances in technology, information society transformation and changes in labor relations have significantly affected the management concepts, training perspective, information and automation systems capability and organizational structure of logistics companies. In addition; production methods and distribution concepts have changed and a new competition perceptiveness has arisen. All these developments have created considerable changes and transformation in all aspect of logistics sector including logistics labor.Within this context, there is a need for a different focus on the logistics labor in the process of developments and changes in logistics sector such as formation of systematic logical approach of the issue and establishment of the concrete perceptiveness for competence of the logistics labor since it is partially abtract. This represents the starting point of the thesis.One of the important source of competitiveness of logistics companies is intellectual potential, ?trained skilled labor?. Skilled labor is considered as prerequisite for the existence of logistics companies in the future. The ?5E (3E1S1F) Logistics Labor Skills Transformation Competence Management Model? puts forth the formulation of transformation of logistics labor skills within cognitive, emotional affective and psychomotor behaviour which support competitive superiority.?5E? represents the five areas of the competent behaviour of logistics labor; Effectiveness (Etkinlik), Economy (Ekonomiklik), Sustainability (Emniyetlilik), Flexibility (Esneklik) and Ethics and Esthetics (Etiklik ve Estetik). This model refers to improving skills and competence of logistics labor in the line of managerial and educational measures. Perfection and competence of logistics labor skills to be created in five areas within the frame of proposed model will provide advantage for logistics companies in competitive power elements; market domination, customer satisfaction, growing capacity and value-added brand.
