Abstract (EN)
In this study, the role of corporate governance in building corporate reputation, which is a primary intangible asset for sustainability, is analyzed and assessed. The hypothesis of this study in question is; corporate governance has a significant role in building corporate reputation. The intention of this study is to create value to the literature and on business environment by exploring the perceptions of the decision makers and opinion leaders in Turkish businesses in the subject.The study is actualized by presenting the ?Building Corporate Reputation Through Corporate Governance Survey? to the board members, investors, chairmans, CEOs and the members of top management of various companies in Türkiye sample. With this study it has been found as; there is a significant perception that, corporate governance has a strong influence in building corporate reputation.As a result, corporate governance is a primary key in building corporate reputation. Today, with the many previously experienced firm scandals and corruption incidents, it can easily be concluded that corporate governance is in the core of businesses. Since trust is the fundemental element for reputation, the effective way of attaining trust is corporate governance.
